Which operating system should I work with?

Microsoft Windows 2000,Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Vista are recommended.

Which Internet navigators can I connect to the e-puertopilbao platform with?

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher is recommended.

Can I request registration from the office and download my certificate at home?

No. Due to the process of creating public and private key certificates, which is fundamental in digital identification, the whole registration process must be carried out from the same equipment.

Can I protect my certificate with a password?

Yes. If you don’t want anyone who uses your computer to use your certificate, you can protect it with a password. This can be done when filling in registration at "e-puertobilbao.com" by selecting “Protect certificate with password?” box.

Once this formula has been chosen, a new window indicating security level will appear, and a “Security level” button which must be pressed.

Then select “Register” and press “Next”. A new window will request a name and password which will be needed each time you wish to use the certificate.

Then press “End”. Important: Do not forget your password otherwise you won’t be able to use your certificate and you will have to make a new certificate request.
