Services in progress
The “e-puertobilbao” platform is the APB’s strategic commitment, and it came into being with a vocation for becoming the reference telematics services platform in the Port of Bilbao; its aim is to contribute improvements in the Port’s competitiveness and in that of the community of users as a whole.
In this sense, APB is proud of the progress made by the “e-puertobilbao” platform, yet is conscious of what still has to be done. Consequently, its development will continue to be a strategic commitment backed by the success that has already been achieved.
In accordance with the strategic plan, the development of the “e-puertobilbao” platform will be based on two major lines of action: on the one hand, offering greater value-added services that help to make it operative for port agents, and on the other, completing the cycle of the logistics chain of goods passing through the Port, which will guarantee the setting up of a unified telematics channel for all the Port of Bilbao user community.
According to the strategic plan, the services that have been identified and that will be the object of implementation on the “e-puertobilbao” platform, are those that follow:
- Unloading cargo lists: a service for distribution of import cargo lists
- Transport Orders: service for processing transport orders to transport companies
- Interaction with rail operators service: integration of rail operator services for processing train and goods entry/ departure (including dangerous goods) into /from the Port area.
- Shipping Instructions and Maritime Booking: service for processing shipping instructions and booking space on the GTNexus and INTTRA platforms.
