[vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text el_class=”texto-justificado”]The\u00a0Port Authority of Bilbao (BPA)<\/strong>\u00a0has submitted the adherence of the support service of the\u00a0Integrated Calls Procedure (PIDE)<\/strong>\u00a0to the prevailing legislation, to the customers and users of the e-commerce\u00a0e-puertobilbao<\/strong>platform. In response to the invitation made, the majority of the\u00a0Consignees<\/strong>, together with the\u00a0waste collection company<\/strong>, Operations, Dangerous goods and Protection of the BPA together with the\u00a0Harbour Master of Bilbao.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As mentioned, the new legislation is derivative from the\u00a0Directive 2010\/65 of the European Union<\/strong>, which enters into force on\u00a01 June 2015<\/strong>and affects the required reporting formalities for ships arriving in\/departing from the Ports of the Member States. This Directive has been transposed into national legislation under\u00a0FOM Order\/1498\/2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The fundamental change, is not directed to\u00a0the arrival\/departure procedure<\/strong>\u00a0nor the information requirement, which\u00a0essentially does not change<\/strong>, but the manner of sending the information by all agents involved in the arrival\/departure management of ships. In particular, the information in relation to the protection of the ship, the waste declaration and the crew and passenger lists must be structured and processable by a computer application (computer to computer).\u00a0In summary, \u201cPDF\u201d formats are not accepted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The service is already available of the e-puertobilbao platform<\/strong>\u00a0for Consignees who carry out such tests as they consider necessary and to familiarise themselves with the contemplated exchange of information solutions. In principle, there are two options for the exchange of information, that of pure \u201cbusiness to business (B2B)<\/strong>\u201d based on the exchange of\u00a0files in the EDIFACT format<\/strong>\u00a0(BERMAN<\/strong>\u00a0for calls,\u00a0WASDIS<\/strong>\u00a0for waste and\u00a0PXLST<\/strong>\u00a0for passengers and crew members), that is, without manual data entry, and the web-based application which entails manual data entry. Integrated Calls Procedure (PIDE)<\/span><\/h2>\n

All things considered it deals with\u00a0expediting procedures<\/strong>, streamlining and\u00a0electronically automating the exchange of information<\/strong>, providing\u00a0transparency<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0traceability<\/strong>\u00a0in the arrival\/departure procedure of ships and to the accompanying information.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text]
